Happy Update!

So...it's been a while, huh? I haven't posted because I've felt like I've been in limbo since our first ultrasound at 6 weeks. Thankfully, we were able to have an ultrasound done this past Wednesday! I was exactly 11 weeks then.

The ultrasound went really well! The technician was so nice and calming (I don't know what it was about her, but she definitely had great bedside manner). She started with an abdominal ultrasound and could see the baby, but it wasn't very clear. So, she informed me that she'd have to do a TV scan.

It was so awesome getting to see our baby on the screen bouncing around. The tech said I was measuring 11w1d (making my due date 9/25/12). He/she had a nice heartbeat of 158bpm. We were given pictures of the baby.

In this pic, you can see the baby very clearly and it looks like he/she is waving at us :)

Words cannot express how much I love this little creature growing inside of me. We're so *very* excited to meet him/her in September!!

Now that we've actually gotten to see the baby, I'm so relieved. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Like I can actually breathe and relax a bit. I have been trying to be positive, but it is so difficult given the random horrible things that can happen during pregnancy. I am hoping that we're in the clear since we're so close to being out of the first trimester. Only time will tell.

But right now, I'm really optimistic that this baby is going to hang on til September <3
